MONTERREY, MEXICO — UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, is hosting its UFI Americas Conference Sept. 10-12, 2024, in Monterrey, Mexico, referred to as the “City of the Mountains.”

Formerly known as the UFI LATAM Conference, this year’s conference unites the newly formed North America Chapter with the Central and South America Chapter.

“The North America chapter was formed because of the importance of having UFI members from NAFTA countries: Canada, the U.S., and Mexico represented in UFI’s governing bodies,” Martha Donato, UFI’s Reigonal Director North America, said. “By combining with the South and Central America Chapter for the conference, we can convene early in the lifecycle of the new chapter, and we can make sure to serve our members and the industry in the region better through the chapter structure with the corresponding regional office.”

The consolidation will be good for business, Donato adds. “Through the North America chapter, we will be able to make better connections for UFI members from the region. And we can better assist and support members from other parts in the world in finding contacts and business partners in North America. By meeting together in Monterrey, both Americas Chapters have access to their peers in the other regions,” Donato said.

The new Americas conference will focus on fostering business development and networking with industry leaders across the entire Americas region. The fusion of these chapters will offer a comprehensive view of the exhibition industry, creating synergies that will shape the future of events in North, Central, and South America.

Monterrey is the third-largest city in Mexico. The conference is being held at Cintermex set in Parque Fundidora, an inclusive and multifunctional urban park, hosted by the Monterrey Convention & Visitors Bureau.
