NAMM POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Senior Account Executive

Department: Trade Show Sales

Classification: Full-time – Exempt

Position Reports to: Director of Trade Show Sales

Positions Supervised: None at this time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, and travel

POSITION PURPOSE

Manage campaigns designed to recruit and retain member companies exhibiting at the NAMM Shows. Provide excellent customer service, recruiting, and support to our members interested in exhibit space, sponsorships, and digital products for NAMM events that meet or exceed territory goals. Expand current market categories and seek new market categories to improve and grow the tradeshows.

KEY DUTIES

· Collaborates with Director, Sales manager and Account Executives on service, sales, design, and operations of booth space

· Consults with Director and Sales Manager to assign booth space on show map, manage special projects, and plan staff travel

· Consults and assists the Director and Sales manager in managing temporary workers and contractors in the office and on show site

· Builds strong relationships with accounts and NAMM team

· Engages customers in booth design and operations consulting

· Assists in creation of trade show maps

· Manages accounts and prospects in CRM

· Organizes and prioritizes projects to efficiently meet goals with minimal supervision

· Services and sells exhibit space for US and global trade shows meeting individual and team goals

· Oversees the service/sales process from initial contact through event staging

· Develops, services, and sells sponsorships and digital products

· Maintains established customers while identifying new customers through prospecting

· Executes high volume outbound service/sales efforts

· Attend both in person and digital industry events and tradeshows to prospect for new business and sales opportunities. Develop tools to track travel results and the value of competitive events.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Strong customer relations experience by video conference, phone, email, and in person

· Good problem solving and decision making skills in a fast paced environment

· Self-motivated with ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure

· Organizes and prioritizes projects to efficiently meet goals with minimal supervision

· Professional and personal integrity

· Creative, forward thinking, and problem solving mindset

· Minimum 2 years account management/sales experience

· Ability to travel

· B.A./B.S. degree a plus

· Tradeshow or event experience & sales a plus

· Music, Event Technology, and Sound industry knowledge a plus

· CRM, Video Conferencing, and Event Mapping software experience a plus
