UFI Partners with MAD to Boost Event Management Services in North America

WARWICK, N.Y., PARIS — MAD Event Management LLC and UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, announced a new strategic partnership to boost and to further develop the member services UFI provides to its North American members, including trade show organizers, event venue owners and operators, and trade show service providers. The UFI and MAD partnership is also expected to create stronger links between the North American exhibition industry and the global exhibition industry, and to grow UFI’s North American membership base.

As part of this partnership, MAD Founder and President Martha Donato, and MAD CEO Marty Glynn, take on the roles as UFI’s official representatives in the region, and will work to further represent and support the business interests of its event management members.

“We are thrilled to be working with UFI in North America as they prepare for their November 2023 Congress,” Donato said. “UFI is an association that maintains very high standards in their content, data and congresses, and we are proud to be members and to represent them.”

The 90th UFI Global Congress will take place Nov. 1-4, 2023, at the ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas, and will be hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).

“In November 2023, UFI’s Global Congress will come to Las Vegas. Ever since we announced that a few months back, the buzz has been building,” Kai Hattendorf, UFI CEO and Managing Director said. “Many colleagues across the U.S. are looking to engage with UFI on this as well as more broadly to create stronger ties into the global industry. With Martha Donato and Marty Glynn, we have found excellent partners to represent UFI in North America, and we are very much looking forward to working with them to connect U.S. industry colleagues more closely to our global UFI community.”

UFI has a global community of about 800 member businesses in more than 80 countries. In the U.S., members of UFI currently include top for-profit organizers, association organizers, leading destinations, a variety of venues and service providers. UFI is also a collaborative partner with industry coalitions, such as the Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA), and with U.S.-based associations, such as the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO).
