20th Anniversary Edition of Cosmoprof North America Sees 20% Growth in Attendance

LAS VEGAS — Twenty is a number to celebrate for the organizers of Cosmoprof North America, whose 20th anniversary edition at the Las Vegas Convention Center saw a 20% increase in attendance over last year. The show, organized by Informa Markets, BolognaFiere Group and the Professional Beauty Association, was held July 11-13.

The three-day event, considered to be the launching pad for beauty industry news and innovation, attracted visitors from 108 countries, with more than 1,100 beauty brands exhibiting and all the heavy hitters in the retail world attending, from Nordstrom to Target to Walmart. An exclusive show feature, the Country Pavilions, introduced emerging global beauty brands to the U.S. market. Other curated areas included Discover Black-Owned Beauty, Discover Green and The Beauty Vanities.

Education and networking events are an integral feature of the show. CosmoTalks education sessions included a popular panel on “Disrupted Beauty Retail,” moderated by WSL Strategic Retail’s Wendy Liebmann, while Entrepreneur Academy workshops focused on everything from product creation to marketing strategies. Meanwhile, Cosmopack focused on production, everything from raw materials to manufacturing to packaging. To top it all off, the final evening’s 20th Anniversary Soiree included a special presentation of the Cosmoprof and Cosmopack North America Award winners. For the first time, this year’s winners, along with all global winners, will be presented and displayed at Cosmoprof Bologna in March 2024, which is the main Cosmoprof event.

Liza Rapay, Head of Marketing, BolognaFiere, USA, Cosmoprof North America, attributes the success of the 20th anniversary show to the convergence of many factors.

“The beauty industry is healthy and continues to be strong, and we at Cosmoprof North America made sure to leverage the industry demand,” she said. “We had a robust paid media campaign, utilized all of our social media channels to reach our audience organically, we made sure our messaging and email campaigns were focused, and managed all our buyer/retailer relationships that we’ve built through the years. And of course, our panel discussion was a huge success. We made sure to look at what’s happening in the industry and offered relevant sessions with great speakers that resonated with the audience.”

The new Cosmoprof North America Miami debuts in Miami January 23–25, 2024. Cosmoprof North America returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center July 23–25, 2024.
