ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Fla., has a new partnership with Walt Disney World. The two are now engaged in an OCCC Gold Key partnership, representing top-tier services and exclusive benefits for guests, clients and exhibitors.

The goal of the new partnership is to give exposure to show managers and organizers, attendees and exhibitors through a variety of sales and marketing channels to form relationships and host offsite events in conjunction with gatherings held at the OCCC.

“Each partner in our Gold Key Partner Program provides a customized suite of products and services which can be tailored to each of our client’s needs,” OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester said. “We are grateful for the partnerships we have with Universal, SeaWorld and most recently Walt Disney World as it provides show managers and exhibit managers the opportunity to access exclusive programming and event opportunities for hosting offsite events as well as exclusive park experiences.”

The agreement, which started May 1, is for three years and includes three one-year renewals if both mutually agree. Through the partnership, trade show and event organizers can work with other best-in-class organizers, culinary experts and industry-leading technology from Disney.

Because of the partnership, hosting private and customized events at Disney theme parks, water parks and resorts and putting together full-scale productions at the convention center will be possible.

Walt Disney World has an overall economic impact of $75.2 billion a year for central Florida, according to an Oxford Economics study, while the OCCC reports generating $3 billion a year in economic impact for the region.
