ORLANDO, Fla. — Visit Orlando and Orlando Health, the official Health and Wellness partner, partnered to launch the Orlando Health Virtual Care Center, which is housed in the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).

The Virtual Care Center is located near the Visit Orlando Welcome Center, in the West Building, and will offer attendees the chance to be examined by medical providers on-site.

“As a top meetings destination in the country, it’s important that Orlando continues to lead the way in healthy meetings,” Visit Orlando President and CEO Casandra Matej said. “By providing convenient, high-quality healthcare for attendees, the new Orlando Health Virtual Care Center elevates the services and resources we offer groups and also gives planners the confidence to choose Orlando knowing we value the health and wellness of their attendees.”

Staffed by Orlando Health team members, the Virtual Care Center connects visitors with medical providers through virtual visits in its private room, where board-certified physicians can evaluate conditions ranging from allergies and respiratory infections to sore throats and insect bites. Prescriptions are available, and summaries will be given to patients so they can then share them with their regular health provider.

A visit to the center is expected to take about 30 minutes and costs $55, which visitors can pay via credit or debit card, as health insurance is not accepted. Depending on the level of care needed, the center is also equipped with a concierge phone number to put these visiting patients in need in contact with other resources like emergency care, virtual visits and urgent care locally.
