Gleanin Empowers Event Marketers to Leverage the Power of Community

LONDON — Every Friday in February 2026, we are highlighting an event technology from this month’s print Tech Trek feature. Our second spotlight is on Gleanin.

Attracting attendees is the name of the game for event organizers, and with the community marketing platform Gleanin, they can leverage the most powerful tool at their disposal: word of mouth.

The self-service, subscription-based platform makes it simple; all Gleanin subscribers need to do is create or upload marketing assets, personalize them for specific groups and encourage those stakeholders to share information about the show far and wide on social media.

Tamar Beck, CEO of Gleanin, says one common example of this power in action is when show speakers use the platform to promote their event presentations.

“Speakers tend to want personalized assets about them and their participation in an event,” Beck said. “We make that personalization very easy and very quick and very scalable.”

Gleanin allows users to monitor the success of their marketing campaigns anywhere attendee engagement may be taking place.

This scalability also allows show managers to use assets created in Gleanin for their own marketing in numerous ways. Whether it’s a popup on the show website, a button encouraging attendees to share that they’ve registered or an email campaign, Gleanin lets event organizers use assets in the platform in any way they see fit.

In addition, Gleanin allows users to monitor the success of their marketing campaigns anywhere attendee engagement may be taking place.

“Gleanin’s job is not just to make the campaign creation easy, but to track and show event marketers how well those campaigns are working once they’re out in the wild. We’ll show them who’s sharing and what channels those people are sharing on,” Beck said. “Event marketers may want public social media sharing, but quite a lot of sharing happens in the dark. A lot of attendees choose to send emails to others, share things about the event inside their private WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger groups, or forward registration links via SMS. Our job is to show the event marketer how the shares are happening, where they’re happening, how much engagement there is on those shares and ultimately how many registration conversions [there are] if that’s the objective of the campaign.”

Not Just a Registration Tool

Although Gleanin is commonly used to help boost event registration, the user benefits do not end there. For example, when event marketers also organize awards, the platform provides a way for judges, nominees and winners to promote their involvement.

“We’ve seen a lot of people creating campaigns so judges can promote the fact that they’re involved in a particular set of awards or an organization or person can promote being shortlisted for an award. People can also use those campaigns to promote table sales or sponsors,” Beck said. “Basically, we’re not exclusively plugged into registration. The campaigns are really flexible and because the marketer is in complete control of what those campaigns say, who they’re served to and how they’re served, the use cases are huge.”
