Connect-BizBash Merger Launches B2B Sports Conference Targeting Marketing, Fan Engagement and Brand Awareness Executives

WASHINGTON, D.C.BizBash, part of the Tarsus Group, the global B2B events and media group, is set to launch a new B2B event focusing on the sports industry. The show, BizBash Sports, is scheduled to make its debut, Nov. 27-29, 2023, in Washington, D.C. The show is co-locating with another Tarsus Group show, Connect DC, which serves association, corporate, faith-based, and tech planners and their suppliers, though the attendees of the events are not expected to intermix.  

“BizBash Sports will attract professional sports executives concentrating on marketing, fan engagement, and brand awareness with leading experiential marketing agencies and top-of-line technology companies,” said Matt Johnson, COO of Connect and President of BizBash.

The Tarsus Group acquired BizBash in 2019 and merged the media group with Connect, a leading events company in the meetings industry—which total an impact of more than 1.5 million meeting and event professionals across North America. Connect has served as the two brands’ primary events outlet continuing to host events that serve the corporate, association, specialty and sports markets. However, BizBash has continued to provide both independent and combined events with Connect to serve the markets as well.  

BizBash has always covered sports with editorial and marketing initiatives and with BizBash Sports, the company is taking its next step as it harnesses the power of its merger with Connect, leveraging the combined brand presence of the two companies among event professionals to reach a higher level of engagement in this segment of the event industry. Calling the event BizBash Sports is a signal the company is being more intentional in reaching this specific audience to take advantage of the potential it has to maximize the value for the Tarsus community going forward.
