BIRMINGHAM, Al.—In its second acquisition from Broomfield, Colo.-based National Business Media, Cahaba Media Group has announced that it is bringing Graphics Pro Magazine and Graphics Pro Expo into the fold.
Graphics Pro was launched in 2020, merging A&E, Printwear and Sign & Digital Graphics into a single brand. Graphics Pro Expo hosts events for buyers in these markets to see and purchase the newest technology, materials and supplies. However, organizers canceled the September 2023 GPX show in Baltimore, citing on the website that it “did not have the size and scale we felt was necessary to meet our goal.
“Our number-one goal is to ensure that we provide you with a truly representative event that will make a difference for your business and is worth your valuable time,” the announcement read. 2024 show dates and locations are March 7-9 in Irving, Texas; June 13-15 in Long Beach, Calif.; July 10-12 in Greater Philadelphia (Oaks); October 3-5 in Indianapolis; and November 7-9 in Charlotte, N.C.

Cahaba Media Group has undergone recent changes as well. In June of 2020, it sold a majority equity stake to a team of Birmingham executives, Matthew Conroy and Matt Lyons. The company’s Founder and CEO, Wally Evans, retired after building the business for more than 17 years. Conroy, who was previously Chief Financial Officer of Momentum Telecom, was named President and CEO and Lyons, who founded the defense and space company LinQuest, became Chairman.
The Graphics Pro acquisition was the second transaction between the two companies, with Cabaha Media Group having acquired RV Pro and The Shop last year. Nick Curci of Corporate Solutions in Westport, Conn., was the advisor for both deals. Corporate Solutions is the leading investment banking firm that specializes in the trade show and trade publishing industries, having sold 430 trade shows, 148 consumer shows, 158 trade publications and 477 digital properties for its clients.
“This is a great acquisition for Cahaba Media Group, as these brands add to their existing portfolio of multi-sector media businesses,” Curci said. “I am confident that Cahaba Media Group will take these properties to new heights given their depth of experience, current infrastructure and support from their financial partners.”
