NEW YORK, N.Y. — An enhanced partnership between Taffy Event Strategies and Leading Edge Expositions — organizers of CWCBExpo (Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition), the premier East Coast cannabis business event — will mean exciting, new additions to the 10th annual show, to be held June 5-6 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Highlights will include an energetic exhibit floor; a relevant conference program with expert speakers in in finance, start-ups, investing, science and technology; and networking opportunities including the Yacht Party, B2B Rooftop Bash and a Grower’s Beer & Happy Hour. Debuting alongside the Women’s Pavilion, which features established sponsors and businesses that employ, support and mentor women to become executives, will be a “Women in Cannabis” Luncheon with presentations from industry pioneers and trailblazers.
“Even though 2023 was a challenging year for the cannabis industry, the CWCBExpo New York event at the Javits Center brought the industry together for learning, networking and business-building. As one exhibitor said, ‘I made connections and business decisions at CWCBExpo that will change my life,’” Jennifer Hoff, CEO, Taffy Event Strategies, said. “We are excited to expand our partnership with Leading Edge Expositions and take the event to the next level of growth and expansion in 2024. A significant community outreach program is also in the works, including scholarships to New York City women entrepreneurs to showcase their emerging brands and a “University Row” on the show floor that features leading academic cannabis curriculums from the 2023 event. During the days leading up to and after CWCBExpo, CWCBExpo Cannabis Week will engage the community and local restaurants, retail outlets, wellness centers and entertainment venues across the city and state for a week-long series of events centered on education, networking and fun.
The show organizers also have been working with Cannabis NYC, launched by the NYC Department of Small Business Services, to make NYC the global leader for cannabis industry excellence in education and equity across business, science and culture, and are creating an interagency hub of free resources and services for all New Yorkers interested in the cannabis industry.
