McLean, Va. — MCI USA to announced the acquisition of Plano, Texas-based Wyndham Jade, an event and travel management company specializing in integrated convention housing and registration, site selection, meeting management, incentive programs and business travel management for the association and corporate markets.e acquisition provides MCI more expertise in the U.S. as an innovator in event technology and logistical execution of events. Wyndham Jade operates in the Dallas suburb of Plano and has offices in Arizona, Iowa, Georgia and Illinois.
Shawn Pierce, MCI President, Strategic Event Management for MCI USA, will lead the effort to integrate the Wyndham Jade platform into MCI USA’s association and corporate meetings and events portfolio. Pierce previously was President at Experient as well as Senior Vice President at Hanley Wood, and has headed the Strategic Event Management division of the company since its creation through the merger last year of The MCI Group and Coulter Companies.
