UFI Releases Video to Woo Students into Exhibition Industry

TSE STAFF

Paris, France – A new recruiting video has been released by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry hopes that it will increase the odds of the best and brightest business school students taking a look at trade shows as a career.

The video, which debuted at UFI’s 81st Congress in Colombia this Fall, runs nearly four minutes and highlights the variety of positions available in the exhibition industry and its appeal to aspiring executives who like the idea of working with people in a creative and international environment.

The English-language clip includes video of trade shows underway in Germany and Italy plus observations from industry executives such as Benjamin Chau, deputy executive director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, who said: “My recommendation is that you join this trade. For young people, it is a good first step into career life because it equips you with a lot of good people skills.”

Sage advice also comes from UFI officials, academics and exhibitors. While the commentators don’t include anyone from the U.S., their points are universal and make UFI’s video a handy tool for corporate recruiters, exhibition executives and college professors.

The video may be downloaded at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acA1XF6svYw&feature=share.
