UFI Offers New Benefit to Members: The Exhibition Think Tank Club

Andrea Doyle, Senior News Editor

PARIS — While UFI already offers a host of networking opportunities, from working groups and special interest groups to WhatsApp groups, social media channels and UFI Connects sessions, now there is a new offering: The Exhibition Think Tank Club (ETTC).

ETTC is a global e-platform for exhibition industry professionals to network, debate and otherwise help the industry move forward in this COVID-19 world. The ETTC brings together industry peers from different countries and sectors to share their knowledge, vision and insights. UFI has partnered with MBB-Consulting Group — the company behind the ETTC — to further increase the reach and quality of the platform by opening it up to colleagues from UFI member companies.

“Make the Exhibition Think Tank your resource to stay ahead of all industry developments and to be your network platform for the industry,” said MBB Founder Matthias Tesi Baur, who has worked for the world’s leading exhibition organizers Messe Frankfurt, Reed Exhibitions and UBM in a range of senior e-business, business development and exhibition management roles.

ETTC members will receive priority access to a wide range of online, hybrid and physical events to collaborate, innovate and network. These include online discussions and networking sessions on specific industry hot topics; recurrent, specific and tailored educational online courses; virtual and/or physical social events; articles and newsletters; Think Tank (run for the whole industry or on-demand for company/teams on specific topics); and Online Single Sprint (including two sessions) with a market survey, data analysis and a results presentation, followed by groups working on identified concerns and a final white paper.

To ensure maximum member benefits, UFI has held 300 ETTC Gold Memberships for UFI member staff and will cover a maximum of two ETTC Gold Memberships per UFI member company.

While many ETTC services are available through free membership, Gold Members enjoy exclusive access to a wide range of reports; innovative “Netucation” sessions, which provide educational opportunities through a virtual networking platform; the Gold Member Lounge; and more.

Alongside the Gold Memberships offered by UFI, you can sign up additional colleagues via individual, team or company memberships on the ETTC club website here.
