Jakarta, Indonesia – UBM Asia signed a joint venture agreement with a major exhibition organizer in Indonesia and will use it as a platform for the launch of a new jewelry trade show in the near future and other events down the road.
UBM Asia and PT Dyandra Media International Tbk will start their new partnership out with a new event, which will compliment UBM Asia’s portfolio of 15 jewelry shows held in Europe and Asia, including the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
The details of the new jewelry show were not revealed, but it will likely not be the only event the joint venture produces. “Dyandra’s established local knowledge and UBM’s global reach and sector knowledge will be a winning formula in Indonesia and we will work together closely on expanding to more sectors,” said Jime Essink, president & CEO of UBM Asia.
Dyandra is the largest show organizer in Indonesia, the fourth-most populated nation in the world. The company was formed in 1994 and has produced more than 500 exhibitions since then, UBM Asia said.
UBM Asia has an established office in Indonesia where it oversees shows aimed mainly at the regional Southeast Asia market. Its portfolio includes major events such as CPhI South East Asia, InnoPack South East Asia and SATTE Indonesia.
