CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) is now accepting nominations for the coveted TSE Grand Awards, honoring the best of the best among trade shows. TSE’s Grand Awards are open to trade shows of all sizes, even those that are not large enough to qualify for the TSE Gold 100. Show managers can enter their events covering all aspects of the industry, from shows that feature leaders in marketing strategies to those excelling at social media engagement. New technology is also a focus this year, including a new category Best Virtual Show. The majority of this year’s categories are also open to virtual events that included virtual exhibits.
Other new categories for this year’s Grand Awards include the Return to “Normal” Award, which crowns the show that returned in person, and that overcame considerable challenges to continue offering popular and/or traditional show features despite the pandemic. The new Staying Connected Award chooses the show with the best programs initiated to stay engaged with show partners during the pandemic, through show cancelations and postponements. Another post-pandemic award this year is the Show Must Go On! Award for the most impressive pivot during the pandemic, focusing on a show that overcame obstacles and delivered against all odds.
The new Squeaky Clean Award honors the show with the most outstanding safety and cleaning measures. The new Above & Beyond Award spotlights the team or individual who contributed to a successful show by performing and delivering above and beyond expectations.
There is also a DEI Leadership Award for the most outstanding leadership in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Many past categories are still included in this year’s Grand Awards, including the Show with the Most Commendable Green Initiatives and Most Innovative Show. The Grand Awards’ Greatest Trade Show of the Year category is open to nominations, as well.
Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. PDT on July 29 for consideration. Winners will be announced at the 2022 TSE Gold 100 Awards & Summit Sept. 21-23 at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, Calif.
