TS² Next Week in Chicago; TSE Readers Get Free Pass

SANDI CAIN, NEWS EDITOR

Chicago, IL – TS², the premier show owned/organized by National Trade Productions and sponsored by the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA), has partnered for the first time with the International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE). The aim is to extend the reach of the show to trade show organizers and bring new educational opportunities to attendees.

The show is set for July 20-23 at McCormick Place in Chicago – and Trade Show Executive readers get a free pass to the show floor.

The show will employ a cutting-edge networking tool that attendees will see as soon as they reach the registration desk. That tool is the MingleStick by Mingle360, winner of a Trade Show Executive 2009 Innovation Award in June. MingleStick, enables participants to connect with each other with the click of a button and later download all contact information and photos in place of business cards.

Among the new sessions from IAEE are the Senior Executives Roundtable, CEM courses and the CEM Advanced Institute program from IAEE.

Workshop sessions at TS² understandably will include several sessions focused on the recession. Among them: marketing practices for tough times; social media marketing; managing costs; building successful events in a recession; and how to get the data you need to justify exhibit spending. Other sessions will strive to help attendees stay abreast of rapidly changing technology trends and recognize hot button issues for exhibitors. In addition, daily keynote sessions will provide other high-level insights about emerging trends and marketing opportunities.

The partnership of TS² and IAEE is expected to provide new opportunities for corporate exhibitors and show organizers to explore ideas for the future. TSEA data indicates that 90% of TS² attendees come from high-level management; 88% influence purchasing decisions and 83% come seeking new products, services and suppliers.
