Chicago, August 4 – Gerald G. Sanderson, 75, an outspoken but gracious man who held leadership roles at the CCTB, IACVB, and Trade Show Bureau, passed away on August 4.

A former Executive Director of the Chicago Convention & Visitors Bureau, (now the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau), Sanderson was an influential leader in the trade show industry. Deborah Sexton, CCTB President, says, “Mr. Sanderson will be greatly missed by all of us at the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau. He was the CCTB’s Executive Director and a driving force of the sales team for many, many years. He was a brilliant strategist who understood the needs of conventions and trade shows better than anyone else in the business. We will remember Mr. Sanderson for his commanding presence, dry humor and gracious heart.”
