TSE STAFF

San Francisco – The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) presented Trade Show Executive magazine with a Silver Award for Editorial Excellence at its annual Awards Banquet held Friday, June 18th at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco.  Trade Show Executive magazine was honored for its Roundtable Column, conducted and written by Executive Editor Joan Mather.

The ASBPE award competition is considered the most competitive awards program in the business press.  TSE’s Roundtable Column won in the category “Regular Department”  for magazines with a circulation of under 80,000 in the Western Region which covers 19 states.  Other winners at the banquet  included PC World and InfoWorld; both won more than 5 awards.

“TSE’s Roundtable column was launched nearly two years ago to address controversial issues in the trade show industry,” says Darlene Gudea, Publisher and Editor of Trade Show Executive magazine.  “During that time, Joan Mather has adeptly covered hotel attrition charges, union issues, cost-shifting and other topical subjects with experts from the U.S, Mexico and Europe.” More than just gripe sessions, the roundtables also present possible solutions.  “We are proud to be recognized with a Silver Award for Editorial Excellence by our peers in the business press,” Gudea said.
