CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) announced the Gold 100 Class of 2023, representing the 100 largest shows that took place in the U.S. last year.
This year the Gold 100 class of 2023 put up impressive numbers, totaling more than 42 million net square feet, 100,357 exhibiting companies and more than 3 million attendees. Based on a space rate average of $38.78/sf, the estimated value of the exhibit space for the Gold 100 shows is $1.6 billion.
The average NSF of all Gold 100 class of 2023 shows is 420,531, with an average of 1,004 exhibiting companies and more than 30,000 attendees.
Of the 100 shows, 62 were managed by associations, societies or other not-for-profit organizations, while 38 were managed by independent organizers. Twenty-nine of the shows were also ranked on the most recent TSE Fastest 50 list.
The list of Gold 100 shows includes: ICAST, CONEXPO-CON/AGG, InfoComm USA, IAAPA Expo, WasteExpo, ProMat, The NAMM Show, Equip Exposition, RSNA, JCK, Coverings and Cosmoprof North America.
“The TSE Gold 100 Class of 2023 boasted impressive double-digit growth across the board in the three key metrics of net square feet (nsf) of exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies and total attendance,” said Carri Jensen, TSE Director of Research. “In the history of the TSE Gold 100, their performance was second only to the Class of 2022 which recorded off-the-charts growth percentages just coming out of the pandemic. In addition, 34% of the shows recorded their largest exhibit space in 2023. It is encouraging to see the continued strength of these heavyweights even as the industry starts to stabilize, and we are excited to celebrate their success.”
