CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) announced a brand-new session for the 2024 Fastest 50 Education Summit, taking place May 9, during the Fastest 50 Awards & Summit at Resorts World Las Vegas.

The session, “Venue Town Hall: Costs, Challenges and Collaboration Opportunities,” will feature executive leaders from major convention centers having a candid discussion about the hard-hitting venue-related topics that impact trade show organizers, such as packaged services, exclusives, and costs and fees.

The panelists, which represent more than 7 million square feet of prime exhibit space across the U.S., include Steve Hill, CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority; Mark Tester, Executive Director of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando; Freddie Peterson, General Manager at the Miami Beach Convention Center; and Larita Clark, CEO at the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), which owns McCormick Place.

The panel will be moderated by Informa Markets’ Chief Operating Officer, North American Events, Christine Flanagan.

The group will explore how trade show organizers and venues can collaborate to increase value for exhibitors, reduce costs and expand revenue opportunities. They will also address what venues can do to help show organizers who are bringing significant economic impact to their cities.

“We are excited to provide the Fastest 50 attendees with this kind of exclusive content,” said Rick Simon, Chairman of TSE Media Group and President and CEO of United Service Companies. “These panelists care deeply about the success of show organizers’ events, and represent the best of the best when it comes to thinking outside the box and implementing innovative solutions and ideas to increase value at events. This session will give show organizers the chance to hear what these venues have to say about the pressing issues, as they face some tough questions head on.”
