The International Surface Event Is At Near Capacity for Exhibitors at 2024 Show

LAS VEGAS — The International Surface Event (TISE): SURFACES | StonExpo | TileExpo announced in November that its nearly 400,000 square foot exhibit hall was 99% sold out for the 2024 show. Informa Markets’ TISE will take place Jan. 24-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, with education sessions beginning the day before the trade show.

“We typically sell about 75% to 77% of our show for the following year at the event, so that really creates a good demand at that point,” said Amie Gilmore, Show Director for TISE. “But this year, there have been so many new companies that are just trying to get their name back out there after COVID, and it’s a really good opportunity to do that.”

She added that this year’s TISE is drawing many returning industry leaders, a slate of new show exhibitors, and a healthy number of international exhibitors, including a partnership with Italy for StonExpo.

New exhibitors this year for TISE include Cambria, Eleganza Tile, Eternity Flooring and Louisville Tile, while returning industry leaders include top names such as Mohawk, Shaw / TotalWorx, Dream Weaver and Mannington.

TISE is the largest North American Surface Event and has served nearly 30 years as an industry marketplace for floor covering, stone, and tile businesses to come together, discover new products, network and develop their businesses. TISE is the umbrella branding for three mega-events: SURFACES, StonExpo, and TileExpo.

SURFACES, is home to vast display and resource center for soft and hard surface materials and services. Attendance at TISE includes access to the SURFACES exhibit hall, featuring names like Park Industries and Ace Floor/XL Flooring. SURFACES is sponsored by the World Floor Covering Association.

Meanwhile, StonExpo features natural stone, stone cutting equipment, tools and machinery, and its exhibit hall is also part of TISE. StonExpo is sponsored by the Natural Stone Institute and the Natural Stone Council. The exhibit hall for TileExpo, which is sponsored by the National Tile Contractors Association and the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation, is also part of the TISE event and features tile, large format porcelain, adhesives, tile cutting and installation tools.

“We’re getting people that we haven’t seen exhibit in many years coming back. There are people that are creating new companies and coming in, and there are companies that are very niche, and so they don’t always exhibit with us,” Gilmore said.

TISE is also again partnering with COVER Connect, which will have its own pavilion within the SURFACES show floor and will draw high-end rug companies as well as new businesses, according to Kerry Cree, TISE Show Manager.  Last year was the first year of the partnership and offered buyers and industry professionals the opportunity to source top-quality traditional, transitional and contemporary rugs.

New to this year’s show will be a podcast studio and a wellness program, including morning walks and yoga, as well as a Puppy Love lounge on the show floor.
