Alpharetta, Ga. — GlobalShop announced an agreement this week to create a new RetailX event, which will co-locate its trade show with the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) and RFID (radio frequency identification) Journal LIVE!
By bringing together three trade shows, RetailX will feature retail designers, innovators, technologies and manufacturers, plus more than 400,000 square feet of space for education and exhibits that offer solutions for e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retailers.
RetailX will take place June 25-27, 2019 at McCormick Place in Chicago. It’s expected to draw more than 20,000 attendees and more than 1,200 exhibiting brands, based on recent trends from each show.
Emerald Expositions owns RetailX, but the leadership teams of GlobalShop, IRCE and RFID Journal LIVE! Retail will continue to manage their respective brands while working collaboratively to produce the new show.
GlobalShop is an annual event for shopper-facing retail design, technology, and in-store marketing. IRCE is an e-commerce event, and RFID Journal LIVE! is an RFID event dedicated specifically to retail application.
“By bringing three distinct events together at the same time, and under one roof, retailers, innovators, technologies, manufacturers and e-commerce firms will have the opportunity to experience the integration of e-commerce and retail in today’s ever-evolving market,” said Deanna Hamilton, Vice President of Marketing Strategy for Emerald Expositions.
There also will be a concurrent conference agenda to cover pressing topics and trends.
“Creating a seamless experience for shoppers and retailers is key to capturing mind- and market-share,” Hamilton said. “As e-retail business grows, there is more interest in creating a long-lasting integrated customer experience — whether that means enhancing online strategies or expanding to physical stores.”
More information about RetailX will be available at the conclusion of GlobalShop 2018, which will be held March 27-29, and IRCE 2018, which will be held June 5-8. Both events will be held at McCormick Place.
