Sold-Out Plastics Show Looking for Additional Space

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Washington – Organizers of next year’s “NPE2018: The Plastics Show” are looking for ways to expand their already spacious exhibit floor after space sold out more than a year before the show.

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced its first sellout during the May space draw at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The association said in a statement that it was “working to open additional exhibit space,” and could accommodate exhibitors on the waiting list as room became available.

“We anticipated NPE2018 would break the record we set in 2015, but it’s incredible that we exceeded our numbers during Space Draw, a full 14 months ahead of NPE2018,” said William R. Carteaux, President and CEO of PLASTICS.

The triennial show set new records in 2015 with 2,029 exhibitors and 1,128,200 net square feet of exhibit space. NPE2018 is expected to equal, or better, 2015’s attendance of around 65,000.
