Silverstein Rises to Become President of SmithBucklin

Chicago – Julie Silverstein, COO of SmithBucklin since 2000 and a 19-year veteran of the firm, has been promoted to president.  She is the first woman to hold that position in the company’s 57-year history. Her leadership and entrepreneurial instincts were cited as the keys to her advancement.  Silverstein will retain her role as COO but will now oversee the company’s three business units including Business Trade; Health Care; and Technology.  She also directs SmithBucklin’s Trade Show Services; Marketing & Communication Services; and Education & Program Services units .  She will continue to focus on new business and strategic initiatives and also oversee client and employee management in both the Chicago and Washington, DC offices. Henry Givray retains his position as SmithBucklin’s CEO  and has also been named chairman of the board.
