LAS VEGAS SIAL America made headlines last March when it debuted in Las Vegas as the United States’ first-ever cross-category food and beverage trade show and conference. It attracted 4,600 industry professionals from both the U.S. and 60 countries—a mix of domestic and international exhibitors, key importers, food service companies, distributors, retailers, wholesalers and restaurateurs.

Now, the show is stepping up its game when it returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center March 28-30, 2023, by featuring a new trade show pavilion to help promote local food and beverage products for export, “A Taste of the States: Las Vegas.”

The pavilion has been made possible by funding received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA FAS) and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA). The funds come from a 40-year-old cooperative agreement between USDA FAS and NASDA designed to empower small business owners with the tools and relationships needed to export their U.S.-grown and -made products around the world. In 2022, NASDA’s trade promotion activities led to over $54 million in projected export sales and more than 100 companies acquiring new export markets for their business.

The pavilion will focus on products from small- and medium-sized U.S. food and beverage companies, everything from bakery goods and confectionery to meat, dairy and seafood, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The show itself will include three days of networking, education and the exhibition.

NASDA has produced more than 50 trade show events in the U.S. and assisted with U.S. pavilions in events internationally. Worldwide, SIAL includes nine world-class food events, attracting 700,000 attendees and 16,000 exhibitors annually.

“We are thrilled to have NASDA as a partner at SIAL America 2023. Their impact and influence as a longstanding American food organization is unmatched in the industry,” Colleen Truman, Vice President of Global Food Group from SIAL America, said. “The NASDA exhibit will provide a great opportunity for domestic businesses to introduce their products to global buyers and distributors at SIAL America.”
