Shaw Industries Group Inc. unveiled a new recyclable carpet product for trade shows at Greenbuild 2019 in Atlanta early November. Comfor3T is designed to be softer underfoot than typical expo carpeting, said Craig Callahan, Shaw’s Vice President, Specialty Markets.
Comfor3T is made with 60 to 80% recycled content, can be reused multiple times, and is 100% recyclable, Callahan said. The product also has a Bronze Certification from the Cradle to Cradle Product Program, which assesses products for material health, material reuse, renewable energy/carbon management, water stewardship and social fairness. Comfor3T will be on the market in the first quarter of 2020.
