San Diego CC’s Carol Wallace to Resign

San Diego, CA – The San Diego Union-Tribune reported April 9th that Carol Wallace, president & CEO of the San Diego Convention Center, is ending her contract after 20 years of service.   In a letter to the chairwoman of the Convention Center Corp. board, Wallace said her decision was based on the board’s decision to transfer marketing of the center to the  San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, according to the Union-Tribune.  Also leaving is the center’s legal counsel, the law firm of McAteer and McAteer,  and  Steven Johnson, vice president of public affairs.
