CHICAGO — The first-ever U.S. edition of InCyber Forum will be held June 17-18, 2025, in San Antonio. The annual cybersecurity conference that originated in Europe will debut in the Alamo City with an expected attendance of 5,000 global security experts.

The European edition, which takes place in Lille, France, welcomes about 20,000 people a year to convene to learn about the latest innovations, technologies and best practices in the cybersecurity industry. There is also an edition held in Montreal, Canada.

The San Antonio edition of the show will focus on the same aspects, as well as give dedicated focus to the unique cyber threats to the U.S. and how they can impact the country’s allies and other stakeholders on the continent.

“Importantly, the InCyber Forum is more than simply a trade show. It is a convening event that looks holistically at the latest industry technological achievements, geopolitical developments, current and future threats, and academic research across the entire digital ecosystem in cybersecurity. With an anticipated in-person audience of 5,000 domestic and international attendees, the InCyber Forum San Antonio will bring together great minds to discuss both North American and global challenges,” said Vincent Riou, Manager of InCyber Forum Americas.

“Additionally, the InCyber Forum San Antonio is ‘non-coastal’ — located not only in the middle of the U.S., but in Texas, a key gateway to Latin America. With the largest concentration of cybersecurity professionals in the U.S. outside of Washington, D.C., making San Antonio the conference location was highly intentional,” Riou added.

The event will also incorporate students into its programming, as the brand has a strong tradition of engaging with academic institutions.

“Both the Lille and Montreal editions encourage student participation through ethical hacking demonstrations, presentations by colleges and universities, and talent drives to connect private industry with the next generation of cybersecurity talent,” Riou said. “InCyber Forum San Antonio has already engaged with the University of Texas at San Antonio, which offers one of the leading cybersecurity curricula in the U.S., and the conference looks forward to engaging with many other educational institutions over the months ahead.”

Strategic Location for InCyber Forum

San Antonio is also known as Cyber City USA, due to its wide range of operations that protect critical infrastructure assets on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense, the commercial sector and local governments.

Visit San Antonio worked with the Forward Global team to bring InCyber Forum to the city and led the collaborative effort bringing in key entities including the City of San Antonio, greater:SATX, Port San Antonio and The University of Texas at San Antonio.

The announcement of the new show comes as San Antonio is evolving and investing in improvements, including a $2.5 billion expansion to the airport. There have been 40 non-stop North American flights added and in mid-May the first transatlantic flight to Frankfurt, Germany via Condor Airlines will take place.

“The City of San Antonio is investing more than $900 million in cultural improvements in downtown San Antonio including the $500 million Alamo Plan,” said Marc Anderson, President and CEO of Visit San Antonio. “More than 2,000 hotel rooms will be added to our inventory by 2026. In the past two years, Visit San Antonio has expanded our presence in Mexico and Canada and have opened offices in the United Kingdom, Germany and China. San Antonio is the Culinary and Cultural Capital of Texas and growing faster than most cities in the USA. We welcome everyone and have developed a strong focus on social impact and DEI.”

InCyber Forum San Antonio will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, with off-site events and functions happening in the nearby area at venues, restaurants and more.

“Drawing global cybersecurity experts, this event not only elevates San Antonio’s stature as a premier meetings destination but also solidifies the city’s position as the epicenter of cybersecurity innovation in the country,” Anderson said. “San Antonio is the ideal home for the American edition of the InCyber Forum thanks in part to being the United States’ cybersecurity innovation hub and one of country’s fastest growing cities. We look forward to sharing our authentic culture, walkable city, extraordinary cuisine and Texas hospitality in June 2025 with a unique and global mix of forum attendees. We invite delegates to join us as we redefine the future of cybersecurity and set the stage for unprecedented growth and opportunity.”
