Atlanta, GA – Ken McAvoy earned a high profile and plenty of experience in his long career in the trade show industry, and he is now making his expertise available through his new consulting business.
McAvoy launched Convention Consulting, Inc. in September following his departure from Reed Exhibitions earlier in the year. McAvoy had been with Reed Exhibitions for 15 years, most recently as senior vice president, and prior to that, was vice president of client relations for Global Experience Specialists (GES). He was featured on the cover of the June 2009 issue of TSE and is a familiar site at industry events.
While with Reed, he was responsible for operations of some 45 major shows and was also part of the ad hoc industry groups such as Friends of Javits, which advocated for changes at major U.S. convention centers. He also served on advisory boards for convention bureaus in Las Vegas, Orlando and New York.
Convention Consultants, located in the Atlanta area, will be available for guidance on any of the many moving parts involved in the organization of a smoothly running trade show.
