PRG Acquires Davis Audio Visual

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Denver, CO – Production Resource Group, LLC (PRG) has acquired Davis Audio Visual, a comprehensive provider of trade show AV services based in Denver.  Tim Dyer, president of Davis, was named general manager of the PRG rental facility in Denver as part of the deal.

A component of the acquisition was Davis’ proprietary management system for presentations and speakers, which PRG Senior Vice President Scott Hansen said added “depth to our Corporate and Trade Show Services Division.” Davis provides show organizers a way for speakers to upload and edit their presentations online and have them ready on preset computers in the appropriate breakout room.

“The transaction provides additional technical resources, geographic reach and product offerings for our customers,” Hansen said. “Additionally, PRG believes Denver, with its expanded hotel offerings, world-class convention center and amazing activity offerings, is a great place to be located.”

PRG entered into a strategic alliance with Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) in 2008 that enables exhibitors to order PRG services through GES.

The Davis acquisition came only two months after PRG announced the acquisition of European entertainment technology company Procon MultiMedia Aktiengesellschaft AG. Procon, which was re-branded with the PRG name, has a market presence in China and South Africa as well as Germany, France and Belgium.

PRG is a Gold Level sponsor of the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards & Summit.
