Phoenix, AZ – Paul Dykstra, 46, president and CEO of Viad Corp, the parent company of GES Exposition Services, gained a third title today: chairman of the board of Viad Corp.
Dykstra had been the president and CEO of GES in 2000 and later moved up the corporate ladder at Viad to become Viad’s president and CEO. Dykstra takes on the duties of Robert Bohannon, who retired as Viad’s chairman effective March 31 after more than 10 years in the position.
Dykstra joined Viad in 1984 and held a variety of senior positions before joining GES in 1999 as executive vice president of international and corporate development. Dykstra was named president and CEO of GES the following year. He remained at GES until 2006 when he was appointed chief operating officer of Viad. Later that year he was named president and CEO and appointed to the board.
