CHICAGO – Nominations are now open for the Gold 100 Grand Awards, presented to the largest and most innovative trade shows of 2018 at Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards & Summit.
The Gold 100 annually honors shows with the largest exhibit floors. The Grand Awards are also given to exhibitions that excel in areas like event planning, marketing and execution. This year, there will be at least a dozen awards up for grabs in these and other non-square-footage categories. The Grand Awards nomination form is available here.
“The Gold 100 is all about everything that makes the trade show industry tick,” said TSE Publisher and Editor Gabrielle Weiss. “The Grand Awards reflect the highest achievements in creativity and managerial skills among show managers. The 2019 Grand Awards categories include:

• “Stickiest” Show Floor
• Most Commendable Green Initiatives
• Best Use of Technology
• Most Impressive Surge in Sponsorship Sales (new this year)
• The Do-Gooder Award
• Slam Dunk Award for Best New Idea
• The Marketing Genius Award
• Best Gold 100 Show Extension Overseas (also new this year)
• Best Consumer Component within a Trade Show
• The Greatest Show of 2018
The prestigious Grand Awards crystal trophies will also be presented in metric-based categories, including the largest 2018 shows by square footage of exhibit space.
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. PDT on Monday, August 19. Winners will be announced at the Gold 100 Awards & Summit on Sept. 25-27 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. Information on early registration for honorees and accommodations for this invitation-only event is available here.
