HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Oceanside, CA – There are only a few days left for show organizers and industry service providers to nominate the shows that will make up the next, much-anticipated Trade Show Executive (TSE) Fastest 50.

The honoree shows will be selected based on the highest growth in exhibit space, attendance or exhibitor count, and will be saluted May 20-22 at the Fastest 50 Awards & Summit at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. go to www. The online entry form is available at http://65.36.240.184/Fastest50/ and must be submitted by December 20. Nominations from show managers and service providers have already started arriving.

“The Fastest 50 is where the organizers of trade shows of all sizes have several important characteristics in common,” said Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “Their events are on the right track, with a measurable growth in metrics that exceed the benchmark growth for the year.” Early projections, based on show data already collected this year, indicated the odds were good for shows with a growth rate of 6% or higher to earn a coveted spot on the Fastest 50.

Big and Mighty
There were plenty of trade shows in 2013 that reported some very impressive numbers and will be honored in Chicago. The All Baby & Child (ABC) Kids Expo this Fall saw its attendance grow 39% and exhibitor count increase 38%. The largest semi-annual show in the nation, MAGIC Market Week, grew 11.5% to 1,062,151 net square feet (nsf) of exhibit space. The National Automobile Dealers Association/American Truck Dealers Association Convention & Expo soared 15.4% to 299,00 nsf. The booming baby, apparel and automotive shows are just three of the performances from 2013 that will contribute to an exciting and insightful Fastest 50 Awards & Summit and ensure that the crowd in attendance is flush with high achievers.

TSE and our sponsors, including title sponsor Choose Chicago, are looking forward to welcoming a distinguished crowd of exhibition industry all-stars,” said TSE Vice President of Events Diane Bjorklund. “We are planning an interesting program as well as increased networking events so that delegates can better share ideas and meet new colleagues.”

More details on the Fastest 50 Awards & Summit will be announced on the TSE website and E-Clips Breaking News as they become available. Meanwhile, make your plans to enjoy Chicago in the Spring with TSE and the people who are leading the growth of the trade show industry.
