Las Vegas, NV – Jeff Pressman was promoted to president of ConvExx, the independent organizer of the SEMA Show, and stepped into the job held by Susan Schwartz, who was named managing director.
Pressman had been executive vice president and COO of the Las Vegas company, which he joined in 2006. He remains a partner in the firm. Pressman and Susan Schwartz will manage ConvExx along with Chairman Chuck Schwartz.
“Jeff has been involved with every aspect of managing our business, including sales, marketing and operations,” Chuck Schwartz said. “He is also a licensed attorney with years of experience in contracts and business issues. We are excited and pleased that he is assuming the leadership role at ConvExx.”
ConvExx produces the Las Vegas BikeFest consumer show and is best know for the SEMA Show, which last year filled 735,200 net square feet (nsf) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show was No. 11 on the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 rankings of the largest trade shows in the U.S. The event topped 1 million nsf in 2007 before the U.S. economy soured.
