LAS VEGAS — The most successful shows are constantly reinventing themselves and RX’s National Hardware Show (NHS) is no exception. With its new name, NHS Concept to Commerce, the show will be held March 30-April 2, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, preceded by an International Exhibitor Summit on March 30. Its goal is to accelerate product discovery and speed up time-to-shelf.

The changes have been a long time coming, according to Event Director Héctor Morfin Chong, CEM. “Over the past couple of years, we’ve conducted one of the most comprehensive research programs in the show’s history — including more than 100 qualitative interviews, a 340-respondent e-survey and comparative visits to sourcing events, domestic and international (like the Canton Fair). The message from both exhibitors and attendees was clear: NHS needed to evolve beyond a traditional retail show and re-establish its role as a strategic sourcing and product development platform for the global home improvement value chain.”

For independent retailers, organizers promise new and innovative products they won’t see elsewhere. The Inventor Pavilion has been expanded to showcase dozens of early-stage innovations ready for feedback from retailers. New this year is the Product Journey Experience, where attendees can sketch a product and leverage technologies and AI tools to make it shelf-ready in an instant. To simplify sourcing, the Global Manufacturing and Private Label Pavilion will feature companies from Mexico, Vietnam and India.

“Unlike co-op, distributor, or home and building shows focused on in-season buys, NHS Concept to Commerce goes deeper into the strategic sourcing and product development layer that connects attendees directly with global factories, private label providers and inventors — going beyond seasonal buys to support long-term growth and differentiation,” Morfin Chong said. “What’s also new is how brands are showing up. With an exclusive, retailer-only space, brands now have the opportunity to debut new products in front of key decision-makers in a more curated, high-impact setting. And many of those same brands are also using the show to explore their own sourcing and private label needs — making NHS C2C a dual-purpose platform that supports both sides of the product equation. It’s a more intentional, solution-driven format that reflects how the industry really works today. This show is now about building products, not just buying them.”

Show organizers have also focused on attracting a fresh audience. The VIP Attendee program will now include product teams in addition to buying teams and the Hosted Attendee program is being upscaled to add influential recommended attendees. A Recommendation Program will curate recommendations of which stands to visit based on buyer needs and exhibitor profiles, and present them to each attendee upon arrival.
