TSE STAFF

Norwalk, Conn. — Nancy Walsh, President of Reed Exhibitions US since August, 2014, is leaving the company at year’s end after a 32-year career with Reed. Prior to assuming the presidency, she was Executive Vice President, Reed Exhibitions North America. As President, she reports to Hervé Sedky, President of The Americas for Reed Exhibitions, who has responsibility for the 50-event portfolio of B2B and B2C business in diverse industries that include fashion/retail, hardware, gaming, jewelry, beauty and pop culture.

During her tenure Walsh led Reed’s expansion in Mexico, growing the company’s presence there to eight events in Mexico City and Guadalajara and making the company the country’s largest events producer. Walsh also led the second-largest acquisition in Reed’s North American history that integrated JIS events into the JCK portfolio, and was instrumental in ReedPop’s portfolio expansion, which now includes Emerald City ComicCon.

In a release announcing her departure, Sedky praised Walsh’s efforts in guiding the U.S. portfolio “through tremendous growth” and setting it up for future growth. “I applaud Nancy for launching and building our business in Mexico,” he said.

From Walsh’s perspective, the company has a “tremendous core group of senior leaders” who are likely to maintain its goals for growth.

Though her official last day will be September 8, she will remain with Reed Exhibitions as an advisor until the end of this year. Looking to the future, Walsh said, “I will be exploring opportunities that allow me to capitalize on what I enjoy doing in the business.”
