Moda Las Vegas Rebranded to Reflect Broader Mix of Products

TSE STAFF

New York—Business Journals Inc.’s BJI Fashion Group this week announced its rebranded version of Moda Las Vegas called STITCH. The switch to STITCH reflects an expanded effort to meet the needs of upscale retailers in the western U.S. Organizers said that in recent years participating retailers had expressed a desire for more international brands and a broader mix of resources at the show. In August, the show featured 550 juried and ready-to-wear collections in 30 categories. Presented alongside AccessoriesThe Show, the broad range of fashion categories included designer and bridal wear as well as resort, sports and casual wear.

The changes in the products led to the new name. “We felt it was time to give this totally revamped show a new identity to more clearly reflect where the show is today and where it is headed in the future,” said Britton Jones, president & CEO of Business Journals Inc.

The debut under the STITCH name is set for February 17-19 at the Venetian Las Vegas. The show is one of 19 produced by Business Journals Inc. Other fashion shows include FAME, Moda Manhattan and MRket. In addition, the group publishes the Accessories and MR fashion journals.
