Norwalk, CT – Reed Exhibitions has promoted Germany- based Michael Köhler to vice president of Reed Exhibitions USA in time for the launch of two new industrial shows in the Midwest.
Köhler will join Reed’s U.S. division from Reed Exhibitions Deutschland where he was project manager for the ALUMINIUM and COMPOSITES EUROPE brands since 2008. His new responsibilities include the launches this Fall of ALUMINUM USA in Detroit and Insulation Expo (IEX) USA in Rosemont, IL.
Köhler will be replaced in Germany by Olaf Freier effective August 1. Freier spent the past 17 years as event director of HINTE Messe and Ausstellungs-GmbH. Frier’s new responsibilities will include the overall ALUMINIUM brand and its shows in Detroit, Germany, India, China and Brazil.
