San Francisco –MediaLive International Inc. took another giant step in its global business strategy with today’s announcement of its Asian subsidiary, MediaLive Asia, Ltd. The new subsidiary is headquartered in Hong Kong and has another office in Beijing. The company’s leading brands, including COMDEX and NetWorld+Interop, will be offered to the Asia Pacific market in addition to new events that will be announced over the next year.
MediaLive made this move based on research from the market research firm IDC which pinpointed the Asia Pacific region as one of the hottest regions for technology spending in the next decade. In the past, MediaLive produced events in China through partnerships with regional event organizers. The launch of MediaLive Asia is designed to more tightly integrate the region into its overall business strategy, strengthen ties with the Asian market, and increase the services available to sponsors and exhibitors.
Currently scheduled 2004 events include: COMDEX Korea, NetWorld+Interop Korea, NetWorld+Interop Beijing, NetWorld+Interop Singapore, and Global IP Business Exchange in Tokyo.
