CHICAGO — Longtime trade show professional and beloved colleague, Kim Gulczynski, unexpectedly passed away May 27 at age 63. Gulczynski dedicated more than 18 years of career at CompuSystems, where she managed the registration process for many iconic trade shows with a great passion for her work and clients.

Most recently, Gulczynski served as the company’s National Account Project Manager. Earlier this year, Gulczynski earned the Stand By Me award from SEMA for providing valuable consultation and her efforts that went above and beyond.

“We here at SEMA have an annual event for our key vendors called Camp SEMA. During the 2-day event we acknowledge and recognize the never-ending hard work of our vendors who partner with us to produce the SEMA Show. Kim worked tirelessly with our Senior Registration Director, Karen Zisko, and never once said things we asked for couldn’t be done, no matter how outrageous the request was. Kim was the consummate professional at all times with a smile and a can-do attitude. We loved and respected her and considered her an important part of the SEMA family. We will dearly miss her,” Lorri Monty, CEM, SEMA Show Senior Director of Operations, said.

Gulczynski handled registration for a number of top Trade Show Executive Gold 100 trade shows, including MINExpo International, SEMA Show (Specialty Equipment Market Association), SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting & Outdoor Trade Show), NSC Safety Congress & Expo (National Safety Council) and AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo).

The memorial visitation for Gulczynski will be Wednesday, May 31, at Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 3-7 p.m. Find out more information here.
