JT Thompson Joins United Service Companies

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Chicago, IL – United Service Companies CEO Richard Simon has announced the addition of Joel  “JT” Thompson to the team of United’s  security division.  Thompson, who has been a member of professional law enforcement for over 20 years while also working in the trade show industry, has been named security director at United Security Services, Inc.,  responsible for security management at trade shows and events.

Thompson has managed the security for some of the largest trade shows in America, including the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), the International Home + Housewares Show, the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Hotel-Motel Show, Graph Expo, and a host of others.  He has developed security plans for former U.S. presidents and celebrities who have spoken at trade shows and events in numerous cities.  He has also earned more than 40 certificates from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Cook County Sheriff Institute.

“JT has been a member of professional law enforcement for over two decades, and the trade show industry for almost as long,” said Simon.  “He will be a great addition to the nationwide team which United is assembling to give show and event organizers an opportunity to use one service partner for security in venues all across the U.S.”

The addition of JT Thompson comes on the heels of United Service Companies acquiring SMG Security Management Group in the Third Quarter of last year.
