Trumbull, CT – Seizing opportunity in the fast-paced healthcare industry, JD Events announced today that it has acquired the Symposium on Healthcare Design from IIR Exhibitions, Inc. Now in its 18th year, the next event will be held in September in Atlanta. It is expected to span up to 12,000 net square feet of exhibit space and draw abvout 1,500 attendees including design professionals specializing in healthcare facilities.
“We look for leading events in vertical industries that are poised for growth and the Symposium had so many of the right elements,” said Joel Davis, President & CEO of JD Events. “We are putting together an experienced first class team to focus exclusively on this event.” Jenabeth Ferguson, newly appointed Event Director, previously worked on the event from 1998 to 2002.
Last month, JD Events announced that it sold the AD:TECH series of exhibitions to dmg world media. JD Events’ current portfolio includes the Travel Commerce Conference & Expo (TravelCom Expo), The Satellite Application Technology Conference & Expo (SATCON) and ShowBiz Expo.
