Jack Chalden Leaves SUPERCOMM

TSE STAFF

Arlington, VA – Jack Chalden, General Manager of SUPERCOMM, is leaving the show to start his own company. The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), producer of the show, is evaluating several options for management of the show.

SUPERCOMM is co-owned by TIA and the U.S. Telecom Association (USTA). Held in June in Chicago’s McCormick Place, the show spanned over 300,000 net sq. ft. of exhibit space and drew about 30,000 attendees. It is billed as  the largest annual exhibition and conference for communication service providers and private network managers.

In addition to managing SUPERCOMM, Chalden was General Manager of SUPERnet, a broadband Internet exhibition and conference. He also was  Chairman of the Major American Trade Show Organizers (MATSO), (see related story below)  and Secretary/Treasurer of the International Association for Exhibition Management (IAEM). Chalden  was formerly Executive Vice President of the Atlanta Market Center and Vice President of ECI trade show management company. He has managed 10 of the country’s largest shows. Reach him at (703) 907-7744; jchalden@tiaonline.org.
