ATLANTA – IWF announced it will work with Surface & Panel magazine to launch a new boutique event expanding the association into a new business sector. The event, mDesign Live, will connect fabricators, specifiers, architects and interior designers will be held this fall in Michigan.
The inaugural gathering will take place Oct. 28-29 at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, an area known as “the heart of the office furniture industry.”
mDesign Live will focus on the material side of the industry, offering design presentations, educational sessions, speakers, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
It’s not only a new event for IWF, but a new business sector, said Brian Donahue, IWF 2020 Chairman. “We approached Surface & Panel magazine to conceive and create a new event focusing on the material side of our industry. That focus is the best way to extend the IWF brand. Surface and Panel is at the forefront in materials & design and we look forward to the genesis of this event.”
IWF is one of Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 for exhibit space in 2018, and the Next 50 in attendance. In 2018, IWF reported 1,039 Exhibitors and 615,874 net square feet of exhibit space at their show in Atlanta.
