Intermodal Expo, TransComp Exhibition to Split in 2014

DANICA TORMOHLEN, EDITOR-AT-LARGE

Calverton, MD – After a decade-long partnership and co-location, the National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) and the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) have announced they will hold their annual exhibitions as stand-alone events beginning in 2014.The decision to re-launch NITL’s TransComp Exhibition and IANA’s Intermodal Expo individually in 2014 was made due to “the increasing complexity of managing two simultaneous events,” according to a joint announcement.

In 2011, the co-located events attracted 3,000 freight and transportation professionals and 225 exhibitors in a sold-out exhibit hall at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

The two shows will remain co-located for the next two years. In 2012, the co-located shows will be held November 11-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. In 2013, the events will be held November 11-13 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.

In 2014, IANA’s Intermodal Expo will be held September 21-23 in Long Beach, CA, and NITL’s TransComp Exhibition will be held November 14-19 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
