CHICAGO — Informa PLC announced its plans to create a platform for growth in 2025-2030, which include the strengthening of its Live B2B Events business, as well as the expansion of its B2B Digital Services and consistent performance from its Academic Markets Group.

“Over the last four years, our strategy has been to build further strength and depth in B2B businesses, targeting new growth opportunities as the Live B2B Events market segments and becomes increasingly sophisticated, and B2B Digital Services mature,” stated Stephen A. Carter, Group Chief Executive at Informa PLC.

As part of its plan to be a growth platform, Informa is updating its B2B operating model to focus on three Live B2B Events businesses: Informa Markets (transaction-led B2B events), Informa Connect (content-led B2B events) and the all new Informa Festivals (experience-led events).

In 2025, Informa Markets will comprise of more than 300 brands and 20-plus specialist markets, Informa Connect will be made up of 400-plus brands and more than six growth markets, and Informa Festivals will have 10-plus brands in more than five growth markets.

Informa Festivals will be established on Jan. 1, 2025, and will include the newly acquired Ascential shows Lions and Money20/20, as well as Finovate, Black Hat, GDC and London Tech Week and Africa Tech Festival.

Informa’s strategy to build a platform in B2B Digital Services is progressing with the proposed combination of Informa Tech’s Digital Business with NASDAQ-listed TechTarget expected to be completed in Q4.

“The completion of the Ascential acquisition, creation of Informa Festivals and prospective creation of Informa TechTarget will establish leadership and scale in all our chosen B2B market segments, complementing our strength in Academic markets and creating a platform for growth from 2025 to 2030,” stated Carter.

With the growth, focus and reinvestment Informa has made over the last few years, the Group will enter 2025 with revenues of £4bn+/$5bn+ and delivering consistent 5%+ underlying revenue growth, according to an Oct. 9 company update.

The company’s underlying trading performance is strong, and the Group is expected to meet the previously upgraded full-year guidance: double-digit Underlying Revenue Growth, Group Revenue of £3.5bn+, Adjusted Operating Profit of £970m+ (up to £1bn) and Free Cash Flow of £740m+ (GBP/USD 1.26 and excluding any effect of the proposed combination with TechTarget and acquisition of Ascential).
