Twinsburg, OH – Experient Inc. landed an experienced veteran of the trade show industry when it named Jeff Price as its new president and CEO.

Price, who was most recently executive vice president and COO at Freeman, replaced George Benson, who had held the job on an interim basis since June 2008.

Andrew Strauss, chairman of the board of directors for Experient, said Price brought a high level of experience and expertise in the trade show industry that would pay off in the form of future growth. “He has the right combination of leadership, energy and industry savvy that we’ve been looking for,” said Strauss. “His experience and knowledge of the event industry as well as his personal qualities will allow for a seamless transition into the Experient culture. We are confident his vision will set the stage for a strong future.”

Price’s career in exhibitions goes back to Cahners Exposition Group, now Reed Expositions. He also led Cygnus Expositions and is a past chairman of the board for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).

Price will be based at Experient’s headquarters in suburban Cleveland. He said he was enthused about the prospects for his new company’s line of event management, registration, housing and lead retrieval services. “This company is well positioned to push forward and emerge from the recession stronger than ever,” he said.
