Industry Veteran Bryan Montgomery Passes Away at Age 79

Buckinghamshire, England – Bryan Montgomery, a former director of the Andry Montgomery Group and former president of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, died in London on December 14 at the age of 79. He was involved in more than 100 different exhibitions during his tenure with the organizing company. The company’s trade show was the first British show to receive the “UFI Approved” designation in 1962. Although Bryan had retired from active work at Andry Montgomery Ltd., he remained co-chairman of the Montgomery Network. He served as chairman of the board of the World Trade Centers Association from 2002 until 2008. Funeral services were held December 29 in Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

World Trade Center Association (WTCA) board member Dr. Piero Piccardi attended the WTCA General Assembly in Dubai in November along with Montgomery, who at the time requested not to be reconfirmed as WTCA chair due to upcoming medical procedures.  Dr. Piccardi shared with TSE some personal photos of his last memory with Montgomery enjoying a relaxing moment in the sun outside the hotel in Dubai with his chief assistant.
