Orlando – On December 5 at EXPO! EXPO!, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and the American Society of Association Executives made a joint announcement that IAEE will co-locate its midyear meeting with ASAE’s Annual Meeting August 5-7, 2013 at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. The combined program will include IAEE’s educational programs for exhibition and event organizers as well as ASAE’s trade show.
IAEE President & CEO David DuBois said it was a win-win decision. “IAEE members will have the opportunity to participate in ASAE’s exhibition and networking events while ASAE members will be able to take advantage of IAEE’s educational offering which focus on exhibition management and growth.”
ASAE President & CEO John Graham, said, “This partnership makes sense. Both ASAE and IAEE seek to grow our key meetings, and our audiences can greatly benefit from both perspectives. The dialogue will undoubtedly open new doors for doing business together and creating long-lasting partnerships.”
During the past few years, ASAE and IAEE worked together on numerous programs and projects to support the value of face-to-face events, and this co-location is seen as a natural progression of past joint collaborations.
