TSE STAFF

Toronto – Hannover Fairs Canada (HF Canada), the Canadian subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, has announced a new partnership with SME, a membership organization that promotes manufacturing technology and the development of skilled workforce.

Under the partnership, the two entities will co-locate five trade shows with the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) beginning in September 2017 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The five shows will co-locate with CMTS every other year in odd-numbered years. The co-located shows include: Industrial Automation, Motion, Drive & Automation; ComVac; parts2clean; and CeMAT.

The biennial CMTS showcases the latest advancements in machine tools, tooling, metal forming and fabricating; and advanced manufacturing applications. It draws approximately 9,000 attendees and 700 exhibiting companies and showcases advancements in machine tools, tooling, metal forming and fabricating and advanced manufacturing applications.

The newly partnered events produced by Hannover Messe represent industrial automation; power transmission, fluid technology and motion control; compressed air and vacuum technology; surface finishing; and logistic systems and equipment.

Larry Turner president and CEO of HG Canada, said the goal was to secure a home for these five industrial events in Canada alongside a larger manufacturing technology trade show and that CMTS was the perfect fit.

SME director of Canadian Events Julie Pike said in the press release that the partnership will allow SME to offer more alternatives and resources to its members.
